The Elements Hospitality Story

Why are we here?

Elements was created to provide renovation services, and we are fortunate to serve some of the largest hospitality ownership companies in the world. Our customer base has unique and specific needs, which we have spent decades getting to know. We started out with local time share projects in the early 2000s, and since then have methodically expanded across the nation into broader and more nuanced scopes, adding the hotel and senior living niches into our areas of expertise. Today, our reputation positions us among the best in the industry for live-environment hospitality renovation. 

The industry of hospitality is a relational one. The word hospitality itself is by definition a genuine, welcoming, service-oriented term used in conjunction with caring for people and relationships. This quickly became fundamental to expanding on our approach. First, create an internal culture by hiring people who have common passions, and afford them professional respect to be themselves while still engaged in a driven, accountable and disciplined team. Second, build relationships with clients that genuinely value not only what we do but also appreciate the increasingly more advantageous position we are both in when trust and relationship are formed. 

As trust and relationships matured with several new partner clients, it became evident these partnerships needed definition.  What does it mean to partner?  Why? To the customer it has meant many things beyond the renovation itself. First and foremost the relationship needed to be sincere and serve both ways.  True service meant we must earn their trust and listen to them. In doing so, we learned our customers valued consistency in project teams (“people they’ve worked with before”), access to the benefits of having decades of relationships with vendors, budgeting services, schedule planning, due diligence in delving into problem areas, and creativity and experience in value engineering to name some of the most common.  Beyond the relational aspects and trust, to Elements, partnership meant we ask in return for visibility into future projects, respect for our professional knowledge and experience, and reciprocation by being afforded the opportunity and time to accountably bid on most projects. What better legacy can we write than one where we are known by our clients to be good people that provide a good value and are ones that can be trusted. By being transparent, showing humility and remaining true to our purpose we can accomplish anything. 


Elements History / Timeline

2005-2007

Lynden Floor is awarded first timeshare project, and decides to start working for new timeshare customer in multiple states.

2007-2008

Elements forms legal entity as dba of Lynden Floor Design. Continues to grow and become leading part of the overall business.

2009-2011

Core values and a mission was built to align both Elements and Lynden Floor Design with its strategic vision. New customers coming on board, Elements expanding.

2012-2013

Significant growth over these years required a more formal structure for management and growth.

2014-2015

Elements formally splits off from Lynden Floor Design, hires new industry COO, and new VP of Development to expand customer base.

2016-2017

Continued growth and diversification came with challenges and growing pains. Disciplines continued to be developed, trained, and implemented along the way.

2018-2019

After the growing pains of 2016 and 2017, Elements closed down multiple peripheral departments in the business, and became hyper focused on timeshare, senior living, and hotel renovation only. Company culture became a heavy push.

2020-2022

Consistent measured and strategic growth, introducing a training program to develop leaders from within and earning strong industry recognition for its commitment to quality.

2023

Leadership restructured to support scalable growth and established a clear vision with goals for the next 1, 3, and 5 years.

2024-2025

Continued company expansion into new customer relationships, further leadership development for teams across the country, and hiring of multiple positions to support capacity management as Elements grows. – Exciting things to come.

What’s Behind The Brand of Elements Hospitality

At Elements each day is in some form or another an opportunity to further our purpose here on earth. One cannot take it for granted and we know we are not necessarily in control of all outcomes. The icon of the tree rings is symbolic of our story. Each ring is like another year in the life of Elements. Every ring is uniquely its own and there will never be two years exactly alike.

As we seek growth we need to strengthen our roots and feed from new relationships, projects, and people in order to add more years to our story. The tree is imperfect. Elements is imperfect. It is through humility, determination and a concentrated effort to fulfill our purpose we continue to achieve as a company.

Growth rings through many years symbolize strength and fortitude. Elements is in business to be sustainably great at what we do. In order to do so we must build on our experiences and let our story teach us to be great.

Geographically, the tree ring connects Elements to its roots in the Pacific Northwest. Even more specifically, Elements is a general contracting company and wood itself is an essential material.

Given the strong sensitivity Elements has to its Culture, the circular shape signifies connectivity, community, & trust.
